Schools

Our qualified Archery GB coaches can bring archery direct to your school.

We teach in primary and secondary schools throughout the country providing programmes for young people aged from 5 to 18 years. Our sessions can be run as part of a workshop, as an after school club or as a one-off taster.

Our Coaches

All our coaches are trained to a high standard and all are Archery GB coaches. This ensures that while the emphasis is on the children having fun they are also instructed using the latest coaching methods.

Good coaching leads to greater satisfaction from the children, as their achievement is greater and more importantly that safety rules are strictly adhered to.

Our head coach is a highly qualified county coach and all of our other coaches are Archery GB qualified to at least Level 1 UKCC standard. The coaches all have enhanced DBS clearance, and full specific archery insurance. We can also carry out any necessary risk assessments

Benefits

Archery is a low impact gateway sport, that is both physically and mentally challenging. The benefits from archery include improving mental capacity, physical health and general fitness. Archery can also improve patience and focus and can give the student  a strong sense of personal achievement.

We also teach children within Key Stage One

Launched in September 2012, Arrows has been created for primary schools to introduce young children to archery in a fun and safe way. We can provide packages which includes all the equipment and training needed for your teachers to run a schools archery club.

The children were to able to handle our medieval longbows, replica arrows and other resources. We also have various work sheets available for teachers,  one of our examples can be found here.

After School Club

Our after school clubs provides a structure for your young people to learn how to shoot a bow and improve their skills.

Under the guidance of our Professional Coaches, every junior’s progress is monitored through the lessons and competitions.
