Archery or Axe Throwing experience days

Our Experience Days take place at our West Norfolk venue over various dates. Grey Goose Archery Experience Days are ideal for that special family get together or for a holiday activity. Gift vouchers can also be redeemed on these days.

With Experience Days you will get expert coaching by an Archery GB coach. For Axe Throwing Experience Days the coach will additionally be trained by KATTA (UK Knife, Axe & Tomahawk Throwing Association).

The coach will work with you and others in a small group and you will be given the opportunity to hone your skills while playing games or completing scoring rounds.

All the equipment you need will be provided. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm.

Primary school review

The children absolutely loved it and I received very positive feedback from the whole year group. All of the teachers came to tell me how good it was and said that the children got so much from it, so thank you.
We won’t hesitate to use you again and the organisation of the day was really easy and efficient.

Allie, Norwich

Primary School

The children absolutely loved it and you were fantastic with them, spotting who needed extra help very quickly and supporting them all in such a friendly and positive way.

Archery Workshops for Schools

We can offer workshops for children of all ages, over half days, full days, activity weeks or long term projects.

The activities can be designed to suit your requirements. For example we recently provided archery for a Robin Hood topic. The children were to able to handle our medieval longbows, replica arrows and other resources.

We also have various work sheets available for teachers,  one of our examples can be found here.

Active or Passive Aiming?

Generally, with Active aiming your sight pin will be in focus and the target will be blurred in the distance.

This method is sometimes used by compound archers who will hold the pin on the target whilst being as steady as possible.

With Passive aiming the target is in focus and your sight pin will be a blur in front of the target.

This is a more relaxed approach allowing the target to be in focus. We’ve found this method works best with an open sight ring.
